[00:01:00] And it's good to see you guys Because it's been a little while You guys all know, working on the fan films So it's been a bit of a busy time But I think we're going to kick off Well, we're going to continue with Goosetober With talking about real childhood fears And which Goosebumps books relate to those fears So who wants to kick it off?

[00:01:28] Who wants to start with the first kind of Well, before we start all that You know, I would like to say welcome back It has been a minute since you have been on here with us You have been sorely missed, my friend But, you know, even to the people in the comments You know, it's like bringing back Bjorn I was like, I didn't do anything with him I'm just like, I don't know what you want me to say about this I was like, I don't control his life You could have said it

[00:01:58] You have a lot of life stuff going on Between a fan film A little bit of health issue Then, you know, you've got moving And a bunch of other stuff you've got going on So, I mean, it's just life, man Life in general, man Just all the work All the things that Time zone Different I mean, there's a lot of stuff that people don't know Goes on in the background, you know I guess, you know I guess they feel maybe we do this And this is all we do in life But, you know No

[00:02:27] Sadly, it's not This is all we do We don't do anything else I have too much other stuff going on But, you know, we just want to say welcome back You were missed So Well, we're here, man And we're doing Goose-tober So, a lot of exciting things coming up I mean, obviously, we've got episodes and appearances And I'm going to be coming back next year for something But stay tuned for when we have more info Go on that

[00:03:24] We're going to take a hiatus after October Just to kind of resituate life a little bit You know, I'm going through some stuff Bjorn's got stuff he's got going on Between moving and a bunch of other things too So, and I think it'd just be nice to have a break You know, we've been constantly doing this for quite a while For years Yeah With the occasional week off

[00:03:53] But, like, it's a lot So, at least for me personally Like, I'm going to take a little mental health break After October So, we have a few videos still left And then, you know, we'll reconvene Probably around the end of the year To start talking about the beginning of the next year And see where we're all at To continue this journey Because, yes, as Bjorn said We do have an event next year

[00:04:20] With a lot of really great Goosebumps guests That are going to be there Actually, multiple events next year That I will be attending You know about Nipah Horror And then, actually, Horror Hound In Cincinnati in the fall of next year So, stay tuned for announcements on that But the one I will say For all you people in Texas Houston Houston, Texas I can at least give you the place I don't know anything else beyond that yet

And I'm like What? I mean Asked if I want fries or mac and cheese Well, I can get fries back home So Give me the mac and cheese And I was kind of like Trying all the different ones And the Crockett Hotel Was the best one I had While there

[00:06:17] So Yeah I mean Everything was good If there's one In Texas Where we're going to be I'll have to see If there's a Mac's And Because Mac's is literally The mecca of mac and cheese thing Because that's all they do It's all different kinds of mac and cheese Noodles and company as well And it's fire Yeah Noodles and company does really good mac and cheese as well So Wow, I can't wait They're so good They're so good We got you covered But Houston, Texas guys Just be

[00:10:13] I think I was like Five or six Because I remember Like we were Yeah That was Tim Curry man Just For real It was Tim Curry Mm-hmm Tim Curry is Yeah And now This generation It's obviously Like Terrifier You know Or you know That's probably Like your new clown But Pennywise Is still going strong Yeah Pennywise is still there Like They're still there But yeah Nightmare on Clown Street There is a Goosebumps book That You know Has a creepy clown And I mean

[00:10:43] They obviously featured him In the Goosebumps movie As well So Yeah I wanted I thought You know Clowns Could be a good one We can start with You know Because That's something We all free Like I I have I remember The first time I was afraid Of clowns When I first Had the The childhood Fear of it Was I remember I was actually With We were at A family friend's House And I remember My sister Had a friend Named Lauren And Not that Goosebump chick A different Lauren And I remember

[00:11:12] We were just It was like Not that Lauren Because someone Might be like That Lauren Or is it Did you That's what I was thinking At first I was like Well because Lauren's a similar Age to my sister So like It could have been Maybe But shout out To that Goosebumps chick Me I remember We were at A family friend's House And we were Just playing Outside And I was It would have Been 2001 So I was Six And I remember Like Me and my brother Were like Going near the Storm drain And I remember Like We were like Throwing rocks Into it For some reason I don't know

[00:11:42] Why We were just Throwing rocks Into the Drain And she came Over to us She's screaming At us Don't go In there Pennywise Will get you And we're like What What are you Talking about And she's like Pennywise Is in there He'll get you He'll eat you And then she Goes on to tell us About how he Will literally Eat us And you know Turn into anything We're afraid of And I'm like The clown thing Is scary enough For me Like It's a creepy Clown Dude In a drain That is waiting For me So That's where

[00:12:12] That's where Completely Ruined the Image For like Real clown Performers For 100% 100% It's amazing Like How pissed They actually Are about that Like Because they're Like We're not Scary But all These kids Are terrified Of us And blah blah I was like Yeah You're like Got your face Painted And some of you Are like Mime-ish And you don't Talk And you just Come up to People's faces Go You know It's like Yeah That's scary As shit So Yeah Yeah

[00:14:43] Oh my gosh What's it called This sounds like Haunt In a way Is it the haunt No There's There's one Where they're Dressed as clowns And they're like Brutally murdering These like Teenagers One of them Is dressed as a clown But not all of them Like The whole concept Of the movie Haunt Is It is a Haunted attraction That they advertise For people to come to On Halloween Or around Halloween Or whatever And Kids That go inside And do it Aren't really

[00:15:13] Known To be Coming out They're Because they're Being killed Throughout the haunt And sometimes They get put on Stage for performance When the new people That come in Think this is all Part of the show When someone actually Just got murdered Right in front of them But they think It's part of the show There's also Just clown There's also just The movie title Is clown And it's directed By John Watts That's an That's an older film Where it's kind of Haunted mask Ish It's

Stein wrote But yeah Fear of Scarecrows And fear of the unknown Yeah I think it is Fear of Scarecrows Fairly self-explanatory They're just creepy But the fear of the unknown Comes in the fact that The kids didn't know What was going on They couldn't understand Why the Scarecrows Were coming to life And the fact that Stan Lee

[00:21:09] Weird things going on I For me That was kind of The fear that I had Growing up Is like not knowing And like Fear of the dark That kind of stuff You don't know What's down there So you Have that You know Fear in you So Image of a scarecrow Like Yeah Like I I remember The book creeped me out As a kid But also like The TV episode Really I don't know why But it was one of those Goosebumps Episodes that did Genuinely scare me And it was

[00:21:39] The scene And it's not the scene Everyone talks about Like where the Old grandpa and grandma Are now Scarecrow It was actually Just the scene Where like He just comes up To the window And just starts Tapping on it That creeped me out As a kid I didn't like that So yeah It was scarier That the combine Came alive Honestly Like Scarecrow Is just a Straw man I mean I feel like I could take on A straw man But A combine That came to life Chasing you

[00:22:08] I've been on hayrides Before too Where like That's part of it Like The The trail You're going on And you're on Your hayride You're like Yeah It's so much fun And scare actors And all of a sudden In the dark woods They turn on the lights On a Combine And it starts Chasing you down The thing And the tractor Speeds up And then The combine Speeds up And you're like Jesus Christ Some scary shit Yeah You know Since we're on the Topping of Scarecrow I got a joke And I'm gonna

[00:23:36] He was pretending to be one A couple times actually He pretended in the first one Yeah He pretended in the first one At the Cat lady's house Yeah I think it was And then the second one Obviously he really was In a cornfield With Scarecrows That he replaced One of them To be on there And yeah I remember that That was uh That was actually a scene I thought about When he brought up Scarecrows I was like Jeepers Creepers That's freaky I still need to watch it

[00:24:06] I haven't watched it You're crazy dude One and two Stop there though Jeepers Creepers are so good Don't watch anything Past one and two That's what you told me When we went over The animatronics I know I know But it's just I can't stress enough How bad Those next two were You know So One was scary One was scary Two was like Almost like a rollercoaster Of a movie Like it was good It was entertaining Two was more Two was more Of like a

[00:24:36] Funny entertainment film Rather than a Straight up horror Like the first one First one That was a focus on Literally like two kids Escaping this like Unkillable creature Whereas the second one Was like a bus full Of high school kids And it was all just Like comedy horror At that point He was picking them out He was like I want you Well the first one They tried to keep The mystique Of how he looked And everything Until the very end Of the film But now that you know

[00:25:06] What he looks like The second film Really just went Full face into it Rather than trying To hide What this creature Looked like Because he Has like the shape Of a man When he's got His trench coat on And his hat And everything He's got hair But Yeah When you get A little up close You realize It's very much Not a man Just Has the physique Of one Until the The coat comes off Basically Did they ever explain What he was In a future sequel Because I never Watched past two Is he a demon Is he a

[00:27:04] And Samhain And pagan rituals And things like that I never found Scarecrow To be scary Personally I always thought They were really Entertaining But the thing is Even though I live In Indiana Cornfields No one uses A scarecrow For any of them Like none of them Have scarecrows So I will say The reason why Never seen one in person Scarecrows To me Were so scary Is because At For anybody Who's in like

[00:27:33] The Kansas City area You'll know Worlds of Fun Is like the Staple amusement park Here And it was actually Featured in The Last of Us Season 1 When they're driving Through Kansas City You'll see the roller coaster That is A part of Worlds of Fun So just Cool call out there Anyway That They do a Halloween haunt Every year And there is an Attraction Called Cornstalkers And it It literally Is

[00:28:02] Stalkers Yeah It's Scarecrows And it Reminded me Of What That's not what I said But it's okay Oh But It You threw me Off bro It is Scarecrows And it reminded me Of Scarecrow Walks at Midnight And so Going through That attraction It basically Was the same Thing Yeah No I agree

[00:28:32] Scarecrows Did creep me out Actually More people Around here I think Were more scared Of cornfields And scarecrows Because of Children of the corn Oh yeah I had I had a I had a childhood Friend who Like when we Would walk at night Going somewhere He would be in The middle of the road He refused to go To the side of the road If there was a cornfield On that side And I don't know If it's just because Of the movie Children of the corn Or if he had another fear He wouldn't tell anybody But he's like I'm not standing over Next to the corn

[00:29:02] So I don't know And actually Funny enough Well I say funny enough But it's not a Funny story Oddly enough Let's play Let's say that Oddly enough So my neighbor Down the road Farmers Obviously Had a grain bin And I guess It was common For kids Back in the day To play in those Sometimes I didn't know that But actually Like his Kid

[00:29:33] Apparently Fell asleep in there And Nobody knew that So when they Filled it Like Yeah When they filled The grain bin He was still in there And died Like That That was scary to me I will say That's a scary moment Like Suffocating Like Like that Like in the dark That's crazy Like I can see Like stuff like that For sure Like when you go to Scarecrow And corn

[00:30:03] And fields And everything Like I don't know man Like There is something About it I'll give you that With kids And you You hear these stories In your small towns And Or just Towns in general But small towns Mostly because That's So uncommon Everybody knows about it And will remember it And it's just And it becomes I think Almost a Folklore Legend later That some people Would probably use To scare their kids And you kind of wonder If that's how

[00:30:33] Like some things Come to be anyway You know Whoever thought of Like A scarecrow Coming alive You know It's probably like Something Back in the 1600s Oh Jebediah If you go out there That scarecrow Is going to come alive At night And it's going to Take you away It's going to kill you So stay inside You little shit Jebediah Jebediah It could have been Something like that And just You know Evolved into You know A story later That people tell Who knows

[00:31:03] I always wondered Where a lot of these Old stories come from And creatures And things like that You know Could be A twisted mind I don't know Man man's draw Yeah What is your Scarecrows I mean You got to think Wizard of Oz It's probably another Reason why a lot of People weren't really Scared of scarecrows Because that Idiot one And You get a few Others out there But I can see it I can see some Kids definitely

[00:31:32] Being scared of Scarecrows Especially if they Were given like A scary face Or something They're called Scare Crows They are But they're They're meant To scare Crows Not people That's why They're called Scare Scare birds Just doesn't Sound right They were meant To scare The crows Away from Eating the Corn But I will say Like Jumping into The next Fear Is

[00:32:02] Actually Like a Dread And fear Kind of Together But like Homesickness Being away In remote Wood area But with People like You've not Really met Before When you go To camp So Welcome to Camp Nightmare So I'm With With The The Level of Panic Of being Like Away from Home And Homesickness Couple that Though With like You know People Disappearing

[00:32:32] You know Like That That's wild Especially in The woods Like the woods The woods Especially at Night For people Or For most People are Scary Anyways Because you Can't See But Every Sound At Night Is Just Amplified So Especially When you're In a tent So Especially When you're In a Squirrel Making a Noise But you Think it's Like a Damn Chupacabra Or something Out there And you're Like You know And you Just want To get Out of There

[00:33:02] But Camp Nightmare Is a I think A real Childhood Fear Outside Of Saber's Hungry Well There's Always Those Legends At Summer Camps About Like Some Beast Or Whatever That's Hiding In the Woods You know Local Folk tales And stuff Like that Folklore I think If you Live in A certain Place That Has That Yeah You know If you Live

[00:33:31] More east Maybe It's A moth Man Thing Or You know You could Have a Cryptid A big Foot Or A Whatever The Camps I went To Never Had any Really Cool Stories Like That We We All Just You know Would Go And Have Fun Play Mortal Kombat With Each Other You know I was I was Always Reptile You know Because Reptile Was The Coolest Playing Mortal Kombat They let You play Games Like Video Games Oh No I'm Talking About Like Legit In Real Life

[01:04:59] it earlier i was watching child's play when i was six six years old but let me tell you it's only because like as i was watching it one time and i've watched it i don't know how many times prior to many times my uncle hid under the bed oh and as i was watching it was like hey nick want to play i'm just like what the shit was that and then like as i'm like looking i don't see nothing then he pops up out from under the bed and scares the ever-loving daylights out of me enough to where i actually

[01:05:29] started having nightmares after that oh my gosh i mean it was crazy and i only connected it because of him doing the child's play chucky voice and me watching child's play at the time so the nightmares kind of went with that where i had chucky in my dreams chasing me trying to kill me the entire time so that was fun that was a good time so um but sleep paralysis is another one i've never experienced

[01:05:57] that but i know a lot of people have and they have shared their stories before um i imagine that's a very terrifying experience though uh for anyone yeah dreams just night men you know yeah sleep paralysis are you mean you're you're awake right or are you asleep like you're you're awake i've had it a couple times not like not a ton throughout my life but i've had it once or twice

[01:06:25] um basically what you're dealing with is a couple seconds of not knowing what's going on so you're fully cognizant you're fully awake but your body's not so you can't move you can't do anything and you're still dreaming like your brain is still dreaming so that's where the hallucinations come in for me it's never been longer than like 10 seconds but yeah it's it's freaky i've read stories

[01:06:53] of people that had it for like hours like their their sleep paralysis lasted hours yeah no and i'm like what it's like how do you not need therapy after something like that that's probably why a lot of them say like uh like the sleep paralysis demons and the uh the top hat guy that you know a lot of there's a lot of stories out there about the guy in the top hat which is really interesting because

[01:08:08] anything i've never had it for that long it's it's typically whenever i'm waking up like and again it's been maybe five times in my life that i've had it but whenever i have had it it's been whenever i'm waking up um and typically like if i took most of the time it was after i took like nyquil or something like if i was sick so you're you're still trying to wake up you know you're got sleep aid or

[01:08:38] whatever in you from nyquil um so yeah but like i said mine was never longer than like 10 seconds so i never saw anything weird i just know that like i couldn't move and that's what freaked me out that was enough yeah it's not a not a pleasant feeling hey it's like no um but yeah i've had you know obviously i've i've sleep done sleepwalking before and um yeah yeah i um i got a note here

[01:09:07] from my mom she's over there maybe you sat at palm beach after shop close across the room oh yeah yeah so okay well this isn't about sleeping but i guess i may as well share the story but um yes i have i'm i have done sleepwalking and uh i had a dream before i mentioned this i had a dream that i was like a package arrived at the door and it was so heavy i remember like i couldn't hold it up it was

[01:09:33] like pushing me over but it's because of like all the stuff i'm always buying right goosebumps and stuff and then i'm told and then i'm told that i was standing at the wall like pushing at the wall like oh my god really like so i actually got up and i was pushing at the wall in my dream and it was like but in what i was seeing in the dream was a package and i was like oh it's falling on me i can't hold it up like but i was told no you were at the wall and the next morning i woke up i was in so much

[01:10:03] pain hearing him from like i must have been pushing so hard but you don't know when you when you're asleep like you what you're doing right yeah so i must have been really pushing hard because i was in pain in my elbows and i remember like i was just like oh my god i was like yeah you were standing at the wall like a weirdo and i had to come take you back to bed you were pushing at the wall i was

[01:10:28] like are you being possessed like like no i had a dream you know what that's actually it may be a legitimate fear for someone who is experiencing that on the outside like if you didn't tell like your partner or anybody that you're a sleepwalker and all of a sudden you're like standing up pushing against the wall at night and i'm waking up and i'm seeing that i'm getting the holy water

[01:10:55] priest to come to my house be nikki freeman from obsession standing there in the corner yeah right yeah but um i'll tell the story of this i'll tell the story this so this is a true story and um the only reason i knew it had to be true was because i wasn't the only one that saw it it was a random okay so i was sitting in the car at work and it was when we were at the our old fish and chip shop and yeah i was sitting in the car and i remember looking across the road then i looked

[01:11:25] again i looked over and i saw funny enough uh a guy wearing like a top hat and like an old it looked like an 1800s or like late 1800s early 1900s like a tire right and there was a billboard and the billboard was like white and he was walking along like where the trees and stuff were and you could see him but then when he stood in front of the billboard

[01:11:52] like as he because he's like walking like walk walk walk when he got to the billboard he like disappeared into the white i couldn't see him and then when he went past i could see him again and then he just kind of then he kept going and then i i took my eyes off him for like maybe a split second and he was gone and i'm like i'm losing like i'm seeing i'm seeing things like
